CONGRATULATIONS ON A SUCCESSFUL 2018 TRACK & FIELD SEASON!
Here are the highlights from the season:
*Regional Championships at Bishop Shanahan H.S. on May 5th: Both Boys and Girls Teams won 1st Place!
*Area Championships at Plymouth Whitemarsh H.S. on May 20th: Boys Team won 2nd Place and the Girls Team won 3rd Place.
*Archdiocesan Championship Meet on June 2 at Franklin Field: Out of 110 teams, the Boys Team won 3rd Place and the Girls Team won 8th Place!
WELCOME TO THE 2019 ST. ELIZABETH TRACK & FIELD TEAM
Track registration for the 2019 season is CLOSED until January.
*Please see the 2019 season schedule below and mark all dates on your calendar. To have the opportunity to qualify for the Area Meet, your child needs to participate in the Regional Meet. To have the opportunity to qualify for the Archdiocesan Championship Meet, your child needs to have qualified at the Area Meet.*
Competitive Team: (Grades 4-8) Every Wednesday & Friday from 5:30-6:45 at Downingtown East High School. When practice is in St. Elizabeth's gym, practice will be from 5:45-6:45.
Subnovices: (Grades K-3) Every Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 at Downingtown East High School.
We practice in light rain.
Meet information (including the list of events and the meet schedule) is posted below. Athletes will compete in one of three age groups. Novices and Minors may compete in a maximum of 3 events. Cadets may compete in up to 4 events. We will work closely with each athlete to determine which events she or he is most interested in and are most suited for.
Athletes should practice in comfortable running shoes. You may also want to purchase track spikes for the meets-but it is not required. Spikes may be no longer than ¼ inch. There are sprint, mid-distance and long distance track shoes available. Athletes need to bring plenty of water to all practices and meets. The track can be cold and windy at the beginning of the season. Athletes should dress in layers! Track uniforms will be provided to wear in the meets. If the athlete wants to wear their own shorts, please have them wear navy blue if possible.

Age Groups (regardless of grade):
Novice – Birth years 2008, 2009
Minor – Birth years 2006, 2007
Cadet – Birth years 2004, 2005 or on or after September 1, 2003 (but cannot exceed 8th grade)

4x400m Open Relay
Field Events: High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Triple Jump (Cadets Only)
