St. Elizabeth CYO volleyball is open to girls in 5th - 8th grade, who are a registered member of the St. Elizabeth Parish or attend the St. Elizabeth Parish School. Out of parish players are eligible if their parish does not have the sports program for which they wish to play. Out of parish players require a letter from their pastor and athletic director.
CYO volleyball is a competitive program, particularly at the regional level. Evaluations will be held at St. Elizabeth from August 7 - 10. Please have your player available for evaluations. Depending on the number of players that register, we may field multiple teams in the Varsity (7th/8th grades) and Junior Varsity (5th/6th grades) divisions.
Registration is held from June 1 - July 28 and is conducted on-line via this web site. The fee for all levels is $125.
Skills sessions will be held the week of August 1, 2017. Evaluations occur the following week Monday through Thursday. Practice will begin Monday August 14, 2017. Teams practice two evenings per week, Monday through Thursday.
Evaluations, home games and practices take place in the St Elizabeth gym. Away games are played at various locations throughout Chester County.
The season begins with a play day on September 10. Match play begins September 11. Matches are held on Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
Each team will participate in one mid-season tournament, held on a Saturday. The regional team may play one extra tournament.
The regular season ends in late October. The varsity regional team may participate in Archdiocesan playoffs if they qualify.
Players will be provided a uniform jersey, which must be returned at the end of the season. Players need to provide their own knee pads, black shorts (spandex or sports shorts), and court shoes.
Due to new policies from the SEAM Board to eliminate distractions and liability issues, we respectfully ask parents not to stay for practices. Thank you!
