Enrollment begins May 1st and closes August 1st

All practices and home games will be at West Vincent Park (Evans Park).

The park is located at the corner of Conestoga Road (Rt. 401) and St. Matthews Road.

JV- Tuesdays from 4pm to 5:30pm

Varsity - Thursdays from 4pm to 5:30pm

Average of one game during week days around 5:30pm and one game each Saturday

There are two levels of play in CYO soccer.  Fifth and Sixth Grade boys and girls play co-ed Junior Varsity.  Seventh and Eighth Grade athletes play Varsity.  Varsity may be co-ed if we do not have enough girls for a team; girls my also have the option to play with a different parish girls team.  We cannot make these decisions until enrollment is complete in mid July.

Player training and evaluation will occur during the August Summer Training Camp, specific dates are below.  It is ideal that players make all days of training camp, but we understand that this is a busy time for vacations.  Players are required to make two weeks (Please email program director with unique situations).  Training camp is the time to improve skills, evaluate and come together as a program.

Junior Varsity Team Organization

Talent will be evenly distributed with an emphasis on improvement and development.

Playing time: At least 50% of the game.  If there is more then 16 players on a team the Check-In Procedure (see below) will be implemented. Everyone will play in the playoffs but percentages cannot be guarantee with large teams and the increased emphasis on winning.

Varsity Team Organization

The varisty team organization cannot be decided until enrollment is complete.  We will then choose the format that will put our players in the best situation to succeed.  Some possibilites are below...

1.  Separate Varisty Girl and Boy Teams

2.  Co-Ed 7th Grade Varsity Blue Team and 8th Grade Varsity Gold Teams

3.  Two co-ed teams made up of mixed 7th and 8th graders.

Playing time for Varsity:  At least 25% of the game. Everyone will play in the playoffs but percentages cannot be guarantee with large teams and the increased emphasis on winning.

Large Teams: In the event of very large teams there may be a rotaion implemented to insure quality playing time.  The most common rotation breaks the team into three groups.  Each group will take a turn sitting out so the team attending the game is manageable (around 16 to 18 players) for the coaches.  An example rotation is below...

Soccer games are what it is all about!  It is our opportunity to measure how we have improved as a team and work on continued improvement.  In order for our team to preform at its best we have a few game policies that must be followed. These simple guidelines will keep the game experience fun for the kids and allow them to focus and improve.

  • Players should arrive at games 30 minutes before kickoff to allow for proper warm up, preparation and discussion.
  • Parents are asked to sit on the opposite side of the field from the team and not approach the bench during the games.  This allows the kids to focus on the game and is a common practice of area clubs.  The kids should have water and anything else they need with them before the game begins.
  • All spectators are asked to cheer on our athletes and remain positive towards all officials, players and parents.
